1. About these terms

These terms are the rules for using the Abidii app and website. By using Abidii, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and why.

2. Children and families

Everyone is welcome on Abidii. Our lessons and games are made to be suitable for learners of all ages.

  • If you're a child, ask a parent or guardian before you sign up.
  • A parent or guardian agrees to these terms for their child and helps look after the child's account.
  • Parents and guardians are responsible for how their children use Abidii.

3. Your account

You sign in with Google, Apple or your email address.

  • Keep your sign-in details private. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
  • Choose a username and avatar that are friendly and respectful.
  • You can delete your account at any time in the app, or follow the steps on our account deletion page. Your account is closed straight away and permanently deleted after 30 days.

4. Free and Premium

Abidii is free to start. Premium is an optional subscription that unlocks more.

  • You buy Premium through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
  • It renews automatically until you cancel it. To avoid paying for the next period, cancel at least 24 hours before the current one ends.
  • You manage and cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, under their rules.
  • Prices are shown in the app and in the store, in your currency.

5. Be kind and play fair

Abidii is a friendly place to learn. When you use it, please:

  • be respectful in your username, avatar and live games;
  • never bully, threaten or upset other learners;
  • don't cheat in games or on leaderboards;
  • don't copy, download or collect our content with bots, scripts or other tools;
  • don't try to break, overload or misuse Abidii.

If someone isn't playing nicely, you can report them in the app. We may warn, suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

6. Our content and yours

  • Lessons, audio, pictures, the Abidii name and ÌjĂ pĂĄ belong to Abidii or the people who license them to us. You can use them for your own learning, but please don't copy, share or sell them.
  • What you add, such as your username and avatar, stays yours. You allow us to show it in the app, for example on leaderboards and in live games. You can hide yourself from leaderboards in the app's settings.

7. Cowries and rewards

You earn cowries and wardrobe items by learning. They're just for fun:

  • they aren't real money and can't be swapped for money;
  • they can't be sold, traded or given to another account;
  • we may change or remove them.

8. How we make our lessons

Some lessons, audio and answers are made with the help of computer tools (including AI) and then checked by our team. Mistakes can still slip through, so please report them in the app and we'll fix them. Abidii is a learning tool. It isn't a replacement for a certified translator or a teacher.

9. When things change

We keep improving Abidii, so features may change or be removed. We may also update these terms. If a change is important, we'll tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using Abidii after a change, you accept the new terms.

10. If something goes wrong

We work hard to keep Abidii running well, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. As far as the law allows, Abidii isn't responsible for indirect losses, and the most we're responsible for is what you paid us in the last 12 months. None of this takes away your rights under consumer law.
